Prototypes arrived: eco-friendly packaging, upcoming lab tests, and glass container development

The first prototypes of our water filters have now safely arrived – a major achievement for our project. Together with a packaging manufacturer, we developed an eco-friendly, safe, and easy-to-use packaging solution that reflects our sustainability values.

The next step will be laboratory tests in Europe, which are complex and costly. These tests will allow us to prove the purity of filtered water, especially regarding microplastics, PFAS, and heavy metals.

Another key step: We now have the exact measurements of the filters. Since the ceramic shrinks slightly during firing, we first had to analyze the production process in Kenya. With this data, we can now produce the glass container and glass lid prototypes in Turkey.
